Who we are

Bunked (student lettings) runs this deposit-return service at tenants.bunked.co.uk. Questions: hello@bunked.co.uk.

What we collect

• Name, email and mobile (to identify your tenancy and contact you)
• Property address, room and move-out date
• Bank details (sort code, account number, or international IBAN) so we can return your deposit
• Messages, charge queries and documents you upload during the process

How we use it

We use your information only to manage your end-of-tenancy deposit return, communicate about charges and disputes, and pay money owed to you. We do not sell your data.

Bank details security

Bank details are encrypted at rest, stored separately from your case record, never included in emails, and only decrypted server-side when generating payout exports for our accounts team.

How long we keep records

Deposit-return records are kept as evidence for statutory and dispute purposes. We retain case data and documents for at least six years unless a longer period is required by law or your deposit scheme.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data where the law allows. Contact hello@bunked.co.uk. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
